On this January 15th, 2026, Wikipedia, the largest collaborative, universal, and multilingual encyclopedia on the internet, celebrates 25 years of history, and for this very special moment, the main cover of Zabaloon has given way to honoring those involved who update the global platform daily.
Zabaloon founder Vinni Maciel pointed out that Wikipedia is fundamental for all people on the globe, for all social classes. "There's no way the world could function without its formidable content. We all know the importance of Wikipedia. I'm sure that over the past 25 years, many people have gained knowledge by accessing the vast number of articles on a wide variety of subjects."
Wikipedia was officially launched on January 15, 2001 by Larry Sanger and Jimmy Wales, and receives millions of visits monthly from people seeking general knowledge.
