End of the line for two individuals who tried to transport cocaine in packets of toast and biscuits in the city of Benguela, located in the west of the African country Angola, reported the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC).

The two Angolan men, aged 27 and 31, were arrested on Wednesday, April 23, by SIC agents, who dismantled an ingenious drug trafficking attempt, which involved the camouflage of cocaine in food products.

According to the Chief Inspector of Criminal Investigation, Francisco Vieira, spokesperson for the SIC in Benguela, the two men were arrested after a detailed investigation that allowed the identification of the two packages, which appeared harmless, however, in-depth examinations through expertise revealed cocaine with the food.

Vieira stated that the drugs were destined for the province of Huambo, however, the pair believed that crossing through Benguela with the camouflaged packages would be successful, as they believed that this criminal modality could circumvent the control mechanisms established by the Angolan authorities.

One of the drug traffickers arrested by SIC agents was wearing a t-shirt from the famous band Nirvana, led by American musician Kurt Donald Cobain.

The two individuals were taken to the police station and their names were not revealed by the authorities in the African country.
